About Us

Laura lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Eric, with whom she enjoys eating oysters, watching HBO, and other simple pleasures of the honeymoon phase.  She works as a freelance writer and editor, while making the most of her Prospect Park proximity. A Takoma Park, Maryland (let’s just say DC) native, she is still adapting to the ways of New York City. For example, people here “barbecue” instead of “cook out,” and consider her home town to be “The South.” Her older brother, an Iron Man, got 100% of the family’s athletic genes, so Laura expects much tragic comedy to result from roaming around South America with 50 pounds on her back. She’ll be sure to write it all down.

Eric is an East Coast mutt. He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Long Island, Massachusetts, and upstate New York before finding his way back. He also spent time in the San Francisco Bay Area and maintains that it should be reachable by a MetroCard swipe. Eric is a music lover and producer of all things media as well as a outdoor enthusiast (and gear head). He has worked with New York Public Radio, MTV Networks, Vice Media, blacjac Entertainment Group, Rock The Vote, World Up, Clenched Fist Productions, MVMT, and the Trust Your Struggle Art Collective among many others. He is passionate about international music and media, and the movements being brought on by an inspiring, creative young generation. He believes that in exploring new media, we give voice to people who have otherwise been disconnected, and access to those that need.

They hope this adventure will help them gain a little perspective, look beyond the nine-to-five and thrive together and individually. They look forward to embracing the challenges of the road, or just embracing. (And maybe someday starting a media empire).
